KRHyper with Windows

Environment

KRHyper has been tested with Windows and the following environment:

• Cygwin (Version 1.5.9-1)
• The SWI-Prolog package that comes with Cygwin (Version 5.2.6-1)
• The OCaml Native Win32 port based on the MinGW toolchain (Version 3.07pl2)

Installation

• Works from a Cygwin shell in the same way as for Unix. See krh/INSTALL.TXT in the distribution.

Known Limitations

• Under Windows the automatic detection whether krh is connected to a terminal does not work. By default krh runs in non-terminal mode (no prompt). Use option `-tty' to run krh in terminal mode.
• Under the Windows port of OCaml it seems not possible to catch SIGINT properly. So SINGINT (e.g. by CTRL-C from the keyboard) terminates krh.
• load_shell_command/1 works with Cygwin, however the SWI-Prolog scripts seem not to work when called directly in this way. A workaround:

  Where /home/scripts/mycanonicalize.sh contains:

     canonicalize.pl $*
